i actually feel kinda bad for deidara lol, nobody in that universe paid him any respect. he was so proud of his art but sasori didnt respect him, both itachi and sasuke clowned the shit out of him, not to mention obito (which gets even worse if u imagine the tobi shtick as smth that he puts on voluntarily) .. sasuke disrespected him to the point where he fucking suicide bombed himself but even that didnt work and he finds that out, too, when he’s edo tensei’d later .. lol like shit just wasnt going right for him, he managed to catch gaara but it was all downhill from there
